About Sue
Back in 2015, more small businesses were dying than were being born, which meant that for every business that closed, a business owner was giving up on their dream.
It was then that I recommitted to helping small business owners to thrive, because it killed me to think of business owners giving up on their dreams because they were not able to support their families. This meant that they were not longer making the impact on all the clients and customers they were meant to serve . I knew the ripple effect was tremendous. And I am afraid that this effect is happening again in 2020.
Hi, I’m Sue Guiher and I am known as the Thriving Entrepreneur™ because I have figured out, over the past 20 years, how to create a successful business while raising a family and also giving back to my clients and my community.
I have used this knowledge and experience (from both my successes and failures) to help business owners create businesses laser-aligned with their core values and strengths and to get out of their own way so they can be successful.
As a graphic designer I work on a design until it “feels” right, which is not always great for my bottom line, or my personal relationships. I love how you examined my business in a very logical, and unemotional way while also caring about me as a person. You helped me identify my most profitable skill sets, and then showed me how to monetize them to improve my cash flow right away.”
Nancy Fields- Fields Graphic Design
Imagine waking up each morning excited about your business, knowing exactly what actions to take and the confidence to actually take them. You have stopped flying by the seat of your pants and are now running your business instead of it running you.
And you are not working 24/7 to make it happen! Instead you are spending quality time with family and friends. And yes! you even have personal time for you.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a startup, or your business has been been successful for a number of years, if you don’t feel aligned with your business and get excited by it every day, you will begin to slowly become less and less connected to your business and less connected to your dreams.
What I have discovered after working with business owners in 95 different industries for over 20 years is this— what we think is a problem with our business, is often a personal problem disguised as a business problem.
So that is why I am a bit of a mutt- I am a complete hybrid of coach and consultant. I am a board certified coach who understands business and I am a business consultant who understands how mindset and beliefs impact your success. (In fact, I am so good at finding limiting beliefs and removing them that my clients nicknamed me the Belief Barracuda™ years ago.) Oh, and I am a very deep intuitive who is also pragmatic- I call what I do “practical woo.”
I do not think life and business are separate. I believe your business is part of your life.
As someone who has successfully juggled both work and life, I don’t just focus on your business, I focus on you as a whole person.
I have a business success blueprint that I am able to customize to each of my clients’ needs so they create a business that truly fits them, and allows them to take back control of their business…and their life.

The Heck with Balance, let’s Thrive…
Thriving is the ability to consistently move forward, despite of or because of circumstance or obstacle. I say, “just take one step forward and the next one will follow.”
Understanding how to run a business while also raising a family has been huge personal win. My 3 children kids were not grown when I started my consulting business (in fact two of them were not even born when I started.)
I left corporate life shortly after my first child was born because I wanted to be home with my son. Soon I was growing kids and growing a thriving business at the same time.
For a long time I let my business run me, but then I learned how to successfully blend both business and family life. And it had nothing to do with balancing it all. It was more about understanding the flow of business and life and how to create a harmony for both.
This flow has impacted my business as well as my family. All three of my kids have had the opportunity to be a part of my business.
- My daughter was a co-author in a book that became a international bestseller, when she was 9.
- My eldest son, at 14, worked with me at my trade show booth. He got to attend an event, experienced something which was totally foreign to him and moved him WAY outside his comfort zone. An experience that continues to benefit him to this day.
- My other son has worked behind the scenes of my business thus understanding the complexity and work it takes to be a successful small business owner.
One of the greatest benefits for my children has been the exposure to many different people and cultures and this continues to shape their worldview.
Whether you’re growing your business with a family, or not, it all gets back to your business being part of your life and having a blueprint to follow. I would love to help you create your own blueprint for success.
